Q2 and Q3 2021, on film
After my Leica Minilux and Nikon FE2 failed on me in Q1, I found myself reaching for film a lot less.
I shot with the Fujica GS645 Pro a handful of times. Most shots were plagued by missed focus due to low ISO film and a misaligned rangefinder (and insufficient composition and exposure skills :).

I found a repair shop for the Minilux that was based in Ukraine and got it back in time for the end of summer. I also picked up a Minolta TC-1 and an Olympus Stylus Epic in the mean time to hold me over.
The Minilux is still my favorite point and shoot – the 40mm Summarit lens renders so beautifully and I love that angle of view. The TC-1 is perplexing. I don’t like shooting 28 very much, and I find the resolving power of the lens to be weak, but once in awhile it will produce an amazing shot. I think the Olympus Stylus Epic is the most fun to shoot with its easy-to-open slider design, and it’s a great bang for the buck option. I’m usually pleasantly surprised by the images I get.
